The Preparatory Stage marks an exciting transition in a student's educational journey. Building upon the play-based foundation of early childhood, Classes 3, 4, and 5 introduce students to a more structured, subject-oriented academic framework.
At SRVS SCHOOL SIKANDERPUR, our goal during these crucial years is to foster independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and intellectual resilience. We gently shift our students from "learning to read" to "reading to learn," empowering them to actively explore the world around them.
During this stage, the curriculum expands to help students build deeper connections across disciplines. Our approach is anchored in three key areas:
The Evolution of Learning (Classes 3–5)
Students get introduced to formal textbooks and notebook work. The focus is on building reading stamina, creative writing, basic mathematical operations, and exploring nature and community through Environmental Studies (EVS).
Learning becomes more collaborative. Students engage in project-based learning, basic scientific experiments, and advanced mathematical concepts like fractions and data handling. Expressive communication and presentation skills are actively nurtured.
As the leaders of the primary wing, Class 5 students focus on self-study habits, advanced problem-solving, and abstract thinking. EVS branches out clearly into foundational Science and Social Studies concepts, preparing them smoothly for Middle School.
Beyond the Classroom: We understand that learning happens everywhere. Our preparatory students regularly participate in field trips, inter-house competitions, club activities, and soft-skills workshops that build confidence, empathy, and leadership from a young age.
